The Storage Of Wire Rope
Wire Rope Storage Precautions: Ensure optimal preservation by storing wire ropes in a dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Protect them from direct sunlight and heat exposure. Never stack wire ropes in multiple layers. For long-term storage of large quantities, frequent inspections are crucial to prevent rust. Upon detecting rust, promptly reapply lubricating oil. If corrosion is severe, the affected segment should be discarded. When storing outdoors, position the wire rope on dry ground, using boards for support, and cover securely with a tarpaulin.
