Wire Rope Storage Precautions: For optimal preservation of your steel wire ropes, ensure they are stored in a dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Shield them from direct sunlight or heat exposure. Wire ropes should not be stacked in layers. When storing large quantities for extended periods, regular inspections are essential to prevent rust. On detecting rust, promptly apply a new coat of lubricating oil. If corrosion is advanced, the compromised section should be responsibly discarded. If outdoor storage is necessary, place the wire ropes on dry ground, supported by boards, and protect them with a tarpaulin cover.
