Wire Rope Storage Precautions: For optimal preservation, wire ropes should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse, shielded from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid multi-layer stacking in storage to prevent damage. For long-term storage of large quantities, regular checks are essential to prevent rust. Upon detecting rust, apply a fresh coat of lubricating oil. If corrosion is severe, the affected segments must be discarded. When storing outdoors, place the wire ropes on dry ground, supported by boards, and protected with a tarpaulin cover.
