Avoid stacking wire ropes in multiple layers to prevent damage. For steel wire ropes stored in large quantities or over extended periods, regular inspections are crucial to prevent rust. Should any rust be detected, promptly recoat with a suitable lubricating oil. In instances of severe corrosion, segments of the rope should be discarded. If storage is outdoors, ensure placement on dry ground with protective boards underneath, and cover the ropes with a durable tarpaulin.
