Avoid stacking wire ropes in multiple layers. For large quantities stored over extended periods, regular inspections are crucial to prevent rust. Upon detecting rust, reapply lubricating oil; if corrosion is severe, discard the affected segment. For outdoor storage, place the wire rope on dry ground with boards underneath and cover it with a tarpaulin.
