Avoid direct sunlight and heat exposure, and never stack wire ropes in multiple layers. Perform frequent inspections for large, long-term storage to detect and prevent rust. If rust is found, reapply lubricating oil. In cases of severe corrosion, discard and replace the affected sections. For outdoor storage, place the wire rope on dry ground, supported by boards, and cover it with a tarpaulin.
