Avoid stacking wire ropes in multiple layers. When storing large quantities for extended periods, conduct regular inspections to prevent rust. If rust is detected, promptly apply a fresh coat of lubricating oil. In cases of severe corrosion, the affected segments should be discarded. For outdoor storage, keep the wire ropes on dry ground with boards underneath and cover them with a tarpaulin for protection.
