It's crucial not to stack wire ropes in multiple layers. For long-term storage, regular inspections are vital to prevent rust. At the first sign of rust, apply a new coat of lubricating oil. In cases of severe corrosion, the affected segment of the wire rope should be discarded. If storing outdoors, ensure the ropes are placed on dry ground, supported by boards, and shielded with a tarpaulin.
