The Storage Of Wire Rope
Wire Rope Storage Precautions: Ensure that the wire rope is stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Avoid stacking wire ropes in multiple layers within the warehouse. For long-term storage of large quantities, regularly inspect the ropes to prevent rusting. If rust is detected, recoat with lubricating oil. Severely corroded segments should be discarded. For outdoor storage, place the wire rope on dry ground with boards underneath and cover it with a tarpaulin.
