Avoid stacking wire ropes in multiple layers within the warehouse. For large quantities stored over extended periods, regular inspections are crucial to prevent rust. Upon spotting rust, ensure to reapply a fresh coat of lubricating oil. In cases of severe corrosion, the rusted sections require scrapping. When storing wire ropes outdoors, they should rest on dry ground, supported by boards, and be shielded with a tarpaulin.
