Avoid stacking wire ropes in multiple layers to prevent damage. For long-term storage of large quantities, regular inspections are crucial to prevent rust formation. Should rust be detected, promptly apply a fresh coat of lubricating oil. In cases of severe corrosion, it may be necessary to deem sections of the wire rope unsalvageable and scrap them. When storing wire ropes outdoors, ensure they are placed on dry ground, supported by boards, and protected with a tarpaulin cover.
