Wire ropes should never be stacked in multiple layers within the warehouse to prevent damage. For long-term storage, frequent inspections are imperative to guard against rust. If rust is detected, reapply protective lubricating oil promptly. Should the corrosion be severe, sections of the wire rope must be discarded. When storing wire ropes outdoors, place them on dry ground with a wooden base and shield them with a tarpaulin to maintain their condition.
