Avoid stacking wire ropes in multiple layers. For long-term storage, conduct regular inspections to prevent rust. Should rust be detected, promptly reapply lubricating oil. In cases of severe corrosion, discard the affected segment of the wire rope. When storing wire rope outdoors, place it on dry ground, supported by boards, and safeguard it with a tarpaulin cover.
