Wire Rope Storage Precautions: Ensure that wire ropes are stored in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse to maintain their integrity. Direct sunlight or heat exposure must be avoided. Warehouse stacking should be single-layered to prevent damage. For long-term storage of large quantities, regular inspections are essential to avert rust. Upon detecting rust, promptly apply a new coat of lubricating oil. In cases of severe corrosion, the affected wire segments should be discarded. If storing outdoors, ensure ropes are placed on dry ground, supported by boards, and adequately covered with a tarpaulin to protect against the elements.
