Protect them from direct sunlight and heat exposure to maintain their integrity. Avoid stacking them in multiple layers. For large, prolonged storage, conduct regular inspections to prevent rust. If rust is detected, promptly reapply lubricating oil. Severely corroded wire ropes should be discarded. When storing outdoors, place them on dry ground with boards underneath and shield them with a tarpaulin for added protection.
