Wire Rope Storage Precautions: It is imperative to store wire ropes in a dry and well-ventilated warehouse, diligently avoiding exposure to direct sunlight or intense heat. Ensure wire ropes are not stacked in multiple layers within the storage facility. For substantial quantities intended for long-term storage, regular inspections are crucial to prevent any onset of rust. Upon detecting rust, immediately reapply lubricating oil. In cases of severe corrosion, the affected section of wire rope must be discarded. If outdoor storage is necessary, position the wire rope on dry ground with stable boards as a foundation, and shield it with a durable tarpaulin.
