Wire Rope Storage Precautions: To ensure longevity and optimal performance, wire ropes should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse, shielded from direct sunlight or intense heat. Avoid stacking them in multiple layers. For prolonged storage, regularly inspect to prevent rust formation; apply lubricating oil when rust is detected. If corrosion is extensive, the affected segment should be discarded. When storing wire ropes outdoors, place them on dry ground with boards underneath and protect them with a tarpaulin cover.
