Wire Rope Storage Precautions: Ensure your wire ropes are stored in a dry and well-ventilated warehouse, safeguarding them from direct sunlight or heat exposure. Avoid stacking wire ropes in multiple layers to prevent unnecessary pressure. For long-term storage of large quantities, frequent inspections are crucial to prevent rust. Immediately apply a fresh coat of lubricating oil upon detecting rust. If corrosion is severe, consider scrapping the affected rope sections. For outdoor storage, position the wire rope on dry ground with board underlays, and shield them with a tarpaulin for added protection.
