For long-term storage of large quantities, regular inspections are crucial to prevent rust. If rust is detected, reapply lubricating oil. If corrosion is severe, discard the affected segment. When storing wire ropes outdoors, place them on dry ground with boards underneath and cover them with a tarpaulin.
