a. Purpose: For which rope will be used. Specify the intended application of the rope to tailor it to your specific needs.
b. Size: Diameter of the rope in millimeter or inches. Indicate the precise diameter, whether in millimeters or inches, to ensure an exact fit.
c. Construction: Number of strands, number of wires per strand and type of strand construction. Detail the construction with strand count, wire number per strand, and type, for optimal performance.
d. Type of Core: Fiber core (FC), independent wire rope core (IWRC) or independent wire strand core (IWSC). Select the core type-FC, IWRC, or IWSC-that best suits your application.
e. Lay: Right regular lay, left regular lay, right lang lay, left lang lay. Choose the proper lay orientation to match your operational demands.
f. Coating: Bright (ungalvanized), galvanized or stainless, PVC or Grease. Opt for the ideal coating, whether bright, galvanized, stainless, PVC, or grease, for your environmental conditions.
