Ensure they are shielded from direct sunlight or excessive heat to prevent damage. Avoid stacking wire ropes in multiple layers. For long-term storage of large quantities, regular inspections are crucial to prevent rust. Upon detecting rust, promptly apply a fresh coat of lubricating oil. In cases of severe corrosion, the affected section of the wire rope should be discarded. If storing wire ropes outdoors, they must be placed on dry ground with boards as a base and covered with a tarpaulin for protection.
