Wire Rope Storage Precautions: For the utmost care, store wire ropes in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight or heat exposure. Ensure they are not stacked in multiple layers to prevent damage. For long-term storage of large quantities, regular inspections are essential to detect and prevent rust. Upon discovering rust, promptly apply a fresh coat of lubricating oil. If corrosion is severe, the section of the rope must be discarded. When storing wire ropes outdoors, place them on dry ground with a wooden board base, and shield them with a tarpaulin to protect against the elements.
