Stacking wire ropes in multiple layers is discouraged to maintain quality. For large quantities stored over extended periods, regular inspections are crucial to prevent rust. Should rust be detected, recoat with lubricating oil promptly. Severe corrosion may necessitate scrapping that segment of rope. Outdoor storage requires a dry ground placement, supported by boards, and protected with a tarpaulin cover.
