For those storing a large quantity for extended periods, regular inspections are advised to preempt rust. Should any rust be detected, promptly reapply lubricating oil. In cases of severe corrosion, the affected segment should be discarded. For outdoor storage, position the wire ropes on dry ground, supported by boards, and shielded with a tarpaulin.
